Alfie (Ashley) Chambers
Urban Restoration Ecologist/Social Scientist/ Strategist
Baltimore, MD
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
alfalfabrown@gmail.com
I am looking to expand my knowledge as a PhD Candidate in Anthropology at Johns Hopkins University (2030). My focus will intersect Etymology and Anthropology as I observe the casual symbiotic relationships between humans and the insects found in wetlands within the Baltimore Metro Region. The dynamic nature of urbanization, characterized by smart cities and eco-cities, presents both challenges and opportunities for ecosystem balance. My goal is to develop current states of social science, with a focus on how this development has been shaped in response to problems of social disamenties (oppression) that localize and expand environmental health assessments, giving way to propose actionable solutions aimed at enhancing urban resilience and sustainability. This endeavor involves a multidisciplinary approach, combining elements of biology, anthropology, and urban planning to devise strategies that eliminate the need for extractive practices, in order to pour wealth and wildlife back into our communal fabric.
My background is a wild range of educational, environmental, analytical (data), curatorial and business management expertise that I wield as a lance in any sector I enter.
